ABOUT THE IKAT DYE
Using a heldheld screen, carefully placed on the fabric, the ikat pattern slowly comes to life - each piece shaped by the human hand.
Because every piece is dyed only with the eye as a guide, subtle variations in colour and pattern make each style unique - a natural result of working by hand rather than machine.
All our dyes are created by hand in our colour atelier in Bali. Here we work and collaborate with local artisans, who have carried the art and expertise of traditional dying techniques on for generations. This way each product is unique with distinctive one-of-a-kind patterns. That is the beauty of things made by hand and heart.
